Cisco 200-355: Wireless Network Fundamentals is an online course for network staff who want to plan, set up and support Cisco wireless LANs. It follows the Cisco 200-355 WIFUND exam for the CCNA Wireless certification. The course lasts 15 hours 26 minutes over 55 videos, with 245 test questions.
The 20 modules build from the ground up. You start with how radio signals, standards and antennas work, then plan coverage and compare wireless designs. Later modules cover controllers, roaming, security, guest access and client connections, and the course ends with managing the network, dealing with interference and troubleshooting.
What you will learn
- Explain radio frequency basics and how wireless signals behave
- Compare 802.11 wireless standards
- Choose antennas and plan wireless coverage
- Describe topologies, frame types and wireless architectures
- Deploy standalone, cloud and controller-based wireless networks
- Set up controller discovery, roaming and radio resource management
- Secure wireless networks and set up WLANs and guest access
- Manage wireless, deal with interference and troubleshoot client connections

Who this course is for
- Network staff who want a solid base in wireless networking
- Network administrators who look after Cisco access points and controllers
- Support staff who help with site surveys
- Learners working towards Cisco wireless skills
Before you start
Cisco required a valid CCENT or higher certification for CCNA Wireless. Even without it, you should know VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting and basic routing before you start. Cisco CCNA 200-301 or CompTIA Network+ will give you that base. A basic grasp of how switches and VLANs carry traffic to access points will make the controller modules easier.
About the 200-355 exam
The 200-355 WIFUND exam checked your skills in RF basics, 802.11 technology, setting up and monitoring a Cisco wireless network, and basic troubleshooting. Cisco issued it for the CCNA Wireless certification.
Cisco retired 200-355 on 23 February 2020 as part of its certification overhaul. The wireless basics taught here still apply to any Wi-Fi network you support.
