About the 98-365 exam

Exam 98-365, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, was part of Microsoft’s Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) programme. It checked core knowledge of server installation, server roles, Active Directory, storage, performance and maintenance.

Microsoft retired all MTA exams on 30 June 2022, so you can no longer book 98-365. MTA certifications already earned stay on your Microsoft transcript. The server skills in this course still apply, and they give you a firm base for newer Microsoft and vendor-neutral server exams.

If you want a current credential, CompTIA Server+ covers server hardware, administration and troubleshooting across platforms.
