About the 70-740 exam

Microsoft exam 70-740, Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows Server 2016, was the first of three exams for the MCSA: Windows Server 2016 certification. It tested installing servers, managing storage, running Hyper-V and containers, and building high availability. Microsoft retired it on 31 January 2021 along with the other MCSA, MCSD and MCSE exams. The skills are still used wherever Windows Server runs.
