About the MS-900 exam
MS-900 was Microsoft’s fundamentals exam for Microsoft 365, and passing it earned the Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals certification. Microsoft retired this certification on 31 March 2026 as part of a wider refresh of its fundamentals range, so you can no longer book the exam. The skills it measured are still the building blocks of Microsoft 365 work: cloud concepts, Microsoft 365 apps and services, security, compliance, privacy and trust, and pricing, licensing and support. This course covers all four areas, which makes it a useful base before role-based study such as endpoint administration. Check Microsoft Learn for the current list of Microsoft certifications.
